We really liked the location of the hotel, was good and by reach of everything. The breakfast was really good, good value for money. There was a French girl from Paris working there which was extremely nice, helpful and gentle. She helped us choosing which attractions were worth visiting whilst staying in Edinburgh. She was lovely and we had nice chats with her. Really really nice.
I think that the structure would need some redecoration. A little bit of painting and some new furniture would do. :) The building is really nice and had potential. You can hear everything that a person is doing in the toilet which is not be bet thing at all. Overall though is nice

The Guest House has friendly welcoming staff. I had a nice room, well equipped and clean. There was a wide choice at breakfast. It is only a short taxi ride from the centre and, of course, there are many buses, though you can walk there in a few minutes. Restaurants shops and all other services are close by but most important was the welcoming and helpful environment. I could leave my luggage on the day of departure and go to the station later in the day.

the hotel is small and nicely renovated. It's in a central location and close to local attractions such as the park, shops, Grassmarket, Castle, Royal Mile, and both the Old Town and New Town. 3. the proximity to Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile is convenient.
